BASE CAMP

Description

The tech sessions merely provide a basic understanding of various technologies used in education today. They are a go-to place when needing more information about a specific tool. However, these tools can come from you too! As you perform your research at Camp 1 and you find a new tool, you can add it to the Base Camp Tech Tools doc. Base Camp takes two forms...

  1. Face-to-Face Tech Sessions - Lead by AEA consultants, Assistant Tech Coaches, and Husky Certified Tech Trainers.

  2. Google Doc - A Google Doc has been created with a list of various tools and links to explore on your own. You are encouraged to add to this doc as well.

Description

Teachers that have a foundational understanding of a variety of technologies can begin researching/developing ways to incorporate this technology into their classrooms. This could include combining technology with current teachings in their classroom or explore a new teaching method that incorporates technology (flipped learning, blended learning, etc.). Instructional/Tech Coaches can work directly with you to assist in your research or deciding if you are ready for
Camp 2 - Integration.

Description

Now you implement your research into your own classroom. Your Instructional/Tech Coach can work with you to work through the necessary steps for effective implementation.
